newbie help playing copied games

im just getting started. i have installed x-ecuter 3 and install the x3 bios
now how do i play a copied game off a dvd. i have downloaded a couple
of games of the newsgroups which are in iso format. but dont know
how to play them. could someone help me out. thanks

tsk tsk tsk, don't you know that your are not to talk about downloaded games on the forums. :x

if you have a "legal game" :wink: , then use dvd2xbox to copy the game to your hdd.

as for the iso's hunt around and you can find many apps that will let you do many things.

sorry didnt know that. new at this. can you put dvd2xbox on the xbox without going through a network.

use a program like nero to burn your iso* to a dvd

(*) ofcourse, this iso of yours is just a backed up game that you only copyed so that you would keep your original game safe, right? :wink: :wink:

Which disc drive should I buy?

The one in the 360 i have now broke. I want to be able to play burned games, which one should I buy?

Better be careful though. What you're talking about is spoofing.

Microsofts new AP2.5 check can detect spoofing even with LT+! This mean your games wont boot and your 360s Sec Data will change to show microsoft what you did when you go on live.

What you should do is buy a replace drive and swap the broken parts (If you broke something physically), but keeping the original board.

Unless it's a Hitachi, as hitachi's FW is detectable anyways..
