Newbie here with questions..

I purchased a pre-modded xbox, when the screen loads, its green and says xecuter2 on it...everyone is talking on here about flashing the bios, what will that do for me??? The xbox works great and i havent had any problems, but i see thread after thread that says "SYSTEM CRASH AFTER BIOS FLASH...PLEASE HELP!!" , and i dont want to be one of those people...

and one more question for now, i hooked up my xbox to my laptop and my laptop said "new hardware found", but when i look for it under "My Computer" it doesnt say anywhere that i hooked something else up to it...

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance...

your xbox is allready flash with a bios but it not the lates one dose it say x2 config loading if not it a older bios
the new bios is
x2 5035 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xbox
as long as you flash the right version of bios for xbox you will be ok
do you have flashbios on chip try other bios bank
what chip have you got x2.6?? or do you think it that because you see x2 xecuter on xbox screen

i dont know what chip set i have, i think that because it says xecuter 2 on start up...

what is the purpose of flashing the bios???

to run backups of games
run hacked dash and apps
but as you say you have x2 xecuter on your xbox bootup screen then it been flash with a x2 bios and theres no need to reflash it

have you got a dash other then the MS dash like

if not till you install one you will have to use a boot dvd or better yet Auto installer like Auto installer deluxe 3.10 whitch will install a dash for you as well as apps to were ever you wish to install them

im downloading it now, will this auto install after i burn it to a cd ?? and will it hurt my current config after i install it???

what i mean, is will it mess up how i use my xbox now??? or does it just overwrite all the old stuff with all the new stuff??

do you go on xbox live
no it will not format hard drive if you just have MS dash installed
just boot up AID3 then goto install dashboard option
install to E:/
then install a dash (XBMC IS THE BEST)
then reboot without AID3
it should boot to XBMC with ghip on and MS dash when off
