GENERAL newbie needs help with iPrep

Hey guys. its the first time i want to flash my LITEON drive so plz bear with my questions. I tried to flash the drive using JF 1.87 and I did everything just like tutorial but when it came to write on the drive JF stoped working in WRITING BANK0. and i tried to use 1.84 and 1.86 but the same thing happens and JF freezes at the same stage. so Im gonna use iprep. but I dont know much about this program. is it still usable? if yes, whats the latest version and is there a good tutorial for it? thanks alot

Iprep was discontinues a long time ago buddy.

Jungleflasher is faster and quicker and you can do everything in windows rather than dos.

Have you removed the via drivers?
Are you using the primary port?

There are not many people using iprep now i'm afraid, and i don't think there are any tutorials here to do it. Just use the search option.

But if your drive is getting stuck on writing bank 0. Then it's a good bet that there is a compatibility issue with your sata. It normally happens when the via drivers haven't been disabled and PortIO drivers not installed correctly.

Have you got a screen grab of your device manager?

first thank you for helping. yes ive removed the via card driver just the way JF tutorial says to do. BUT i did not use primary port because when i conected liteon drive to this port my computer stopped working and froze. so i tried to use the outer port(the one that you see behind the case) and it worked and JF detected my drive. and port IO is installed and I see XBOX 360 I/O DEVICE DRIVERS and PORTIO32-XBOX 360 DEVICE DRIVERS in device manager.
