newbie wanting help please

ive got a samsung drive in my 360 and ive added a sata pci adapter to my pc,when i connect my 360 and turn it on should it show up in my computer ? because nothing happens so i dont no if its working,im running vista with the via vt6421a chipset,,,cheers for any help received

hi yes m8 ive read this but i still am unsure if my 360 is connected how can i tell easally,also when i load iprep,i get a choice of ide or scsi based controllers,which do i choose,,because in ide i can choose standard dual channel pci ide controller,,numbers come up in dev id and dev io.also in scsi i can choose via raid controller 3249,,this also gives me numbers in dev id and dev io

i noticed that the latest via driver detects my 6421 as a 3249 in XP. anyways just choose the scsi one (the via 3249) & that will work fine.
