Hello!

I havent been playing xbox 360 live in a while, so i wanted to test it so i bought xbox live card, this however has caused me problems. I installed the updates and now i cant play any game at all, it says "play DVD", when i press enter it says "Please put xbox 360 disc". I had same problem when i played earlier but that was only with the "newer" games and i had too use boot disc, now boot disc wont work on any game. I really dont know anything about my xbox else than it is elite.

If you have still been using a boot disc your Cfw is way out of date. Upgrade the Cfw on your drive.

Have you tryed original games? The update probably unflashed your drive, this is normal if you had dashboard 2.012625.0 or lower.A reflash will fix your problem.

Sounds like you may need to reflash drive with lt3.0, you should always reflash to stock firmware before dash update then reflash to lt 3.0 after

I havent tried any original game yet, but i dont think it'll be a problem with original. I didnt flash the xbox myself so is it only software or do i have to change the hardware?

I'm guessing it's a Liteon however the easiest way to tell without opening up the case it to remove the front cover and look at the hole next to the drive. The colours represent different drive types ( colour translation available via google)

I just opened the tutorial and i must say it is pretty confusing with the 272 pages. Anyways there are things i dont know, like i dont have any equipments like "usb360pro" neither do i have probe.

- I dont have any equipments like x360usbpro nor that probe.
-It's flashed since earlier, can't it just be patched?

I don't see any mention of your originals working. Common sense tells you the first thing to check is your original discs before even wasting your time posting for help.
