NHL 08 is giving me Problems!..Dirty Disk errors!

I have burned about 12 backups already with no issues using the Singapore Verbatims however I have tried to burn 3 copies already of EA's NHL 08 and the game will play fine but randomly 'dirty disc error' in the middle of the gameplay...it seems to happen randomly.

Sometimes 5minutes into a game....sometimes 20mins or so


whats goin on???

Anyone else having problems with NHL 08??

it sounds like a laser issue.
yes, I know you're saying "but it works great on other games no problem".
thing is sports games has lot more activitives than normal games. lots of laser movements. and sometimes it just don't catch the information on time when laser is weak. seem like the first sign of weakness.

also burning at 2.4x ,better media , solid burner with a strong laser helps too.

so...what your saying is that it is a weak laser on my PC burner or on my XBOX Elite?

it could be either one. or both.

what kind of burner and how old is your burner?

How do you make your games?

I usually extract the rar files into a .dvd file

I've done this with about 12 games so far...no issues until NHL 08
