No 5v but 3v on the chip (lights)

When I turn on my X3...it starts to frag. I notice that the 3v light comes on, on the chip but the 5v light doesn't. Anyone know what the problem is and I checked all my solder points and they're perfect. Anyone know where an alternate 5v point i can solder? I have a v1.1 XBOX

are u gettin one blue led comin on and one led light coming on from the chip? Casue i think i am having the same prob as you

5V for a V1.1 is off the header pin 6 (resolder this point) and make sure the solder flows into the hole

3.3 V is pins 9 & 15 (all versions)

NOTE (5V is also on pin 6 for a 1.6x board but is permanently live which will not allow the X3 to disable cleanly) that is why this pin is removed and the alt 5V wire is used

Well put nospmohtkcn, Geees, I get sick of people always saying that their solder points are perfect. What a statment to make!!!!!!

if you did a v1.6 install, did you correctly solder the alt.5v connector? (and plugged it into the x3)

My solder points are perfect. But I needed a new challenge so I unsoldered it, donated my solder work to the smithsonian and bought the Xapt3r.

Well my solder points are 'perfect' but they seems flawless. I resoldered over and over again. And it still frags...so there is no other 5v?? And I don't have a v1.6...I have a v1.1
