After I got my XBOX 1week ago I opened it up to check what version I got. after I put it back together I didn't get any audio/video output.
I didn't mod anything at this point! I ust took it apart and put it back together.
Well I installed X3 chip and still no audi/video. X3 seems to work fine (got two blue LED on the chip and green light stays on. tray opens and closes).
Even if HDD and DVD disconnected I don't get audio/video.
got a v1.6 xbox, stock HDD+DVD and X3.
nothing has been flashed yet as I can't see what I'm doing...hehe!

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me out as I'm *new* in this business.

cheers stefan

Sounds like you've damaged something in the taking apart of the Xbox.

I don't know where to start as I've never heard of this.

Take it to someone who repairs Xboxes and get their opinion.

Thanks martin for your tip. Well, it seems very strange to me as I didn't even *touch* my xbox by taking it apart. I unplugged the dvd and the HDD and that's it. I didn't even touch the MB at all! Due to electrostatic I *grounded* myself. I'm new in this business and don't know a lot about the xbox. Could it be that by unplugging the hdd and dvd some data got lost or my BIOS (or something else) got corrupt?
Is there any way to load the original MS dashboard without having the video working?
Do you know somebody in the Vancouver BC area that might be able to help me out?

thank you very much for your support.

cheers stefan
