No Audio x3 v1.6 1959

i'm not getting audio out of my xbox. chip installation went smoothly,except I had to flash the chip in another xbox (flashed it with the wrong bios for a 1.6).
Everything else works correctly, ie movies, games all play from the xbox. AV cable works on another xbox. Let me know if I need to provide more info.
Any ideas?

all the solder points appear to be solid (i'm going to get a meter to check it with today). It doesn't look like I splashed any solder on the mobo or anything. Does it make sense that the audio would be the only thing not working? I would think that it would frag if it were a bad soldering job. Anyone got any other ideas while I go check this with a meter?

xbox boots normally, just without sound. Anyways it's back to walmart for this box. Thanks for for the help.
