No Boot After Flashing BIOS

I just installed the X2.6Ce and everything came up fine ready to flash. I read reams of documentation as I know that flashing can disable machines.
Any way I went through the process of downloading XBiosManager 2.3 and created a 512k bios using x2_4973_v1.1_256k twice

I used the HTTP option to flash which went through and powered the xbox off as indicated. But then it failed with 2 boots and a FRAG.

Then I read on a site that it requires a 1024K file to flash so I did and am now stuck with no boot on either banks (1/2).
(I have since read that it doesn;t need 1024K.. :( i feel sick)

Is there a way of booting from CD and re-flashing ?? if not what if any are my options.

What version is your Xbox? Sounds like you have a 1.6. 4973 is very old. 5032 is the most recent, and works on a 1.6, the version you flashed with will not.

You will have to buy a programmer, or hot swap your chip now.

OK.. did that, it has a Focus video chip and there is a connection between 2 and Ground making it a 1.4??

I have mailed mrmodchip with regard getting the xecuter 2.6 CE programmer separately as I can only see it bundled with the chip... I think thats the way forward!

There is a lot to learn for you here- yes, the programmer is the only way forward.

Take the time to READ. Ignore other sites for now, just read what's on here. We try and make sure the information is as accurate as possible!
