Good news then buddy glad its all sorted but back to what was said before and I don't mean to sound rude but down to the soldering ...the joints need to look good and clean aswel as tested with multimeter as a joint can brake down with the hot and cold ..once again you have seen for your self that a good solder joint is very important and not so easy to do... But i am glad it's all good now

I didn't think you were rude buddy, I was just proper frustrated! No one likes to think their work is bad, especially when you check check and check again lol Still baffles me as the continuity was on the money! Literally as soon as I desoldered the STBY_CLK it booted straight up! The fact it booted as and when it wanted was also doing my head in! Still, lessons learnt and advice taken. Cheers for all your help though mate

The photo looked as if stby_clk points were bridged with how much solder you used. That's probably y after desoldering it , it worked perfectly.

had a guy bring me a jaspers with same prob.

removed qsb it worked.

After my first F up, i made sure I got some decent flux and a decent tip for my iron. Ah well, alls good now!

yeah you only messed up a stby clk.

i had 4 ppl bring f up of the pll bypass.2 of them was the pads and resistor gone.

now thats a fun bit to repair.

one slip the xbox is scrap.
