I can get to the begining screen for initally flashing the bios. The problem is I can choose any options. It wont let me move up and down at all. I tried it with the chip disables, and the controller does work. Any ideas?

Possibly, try it with a MS controller - maybe borrow from a friend.

Okay, try all/combinations of these...
Make sure only 1 controller is plugged in
Unplug DVD connection
Remove any memory cards from the xbox or controller
Use the D-Pad instead of the stick
Try different controller ports
Don't plug the controller in until the bios loads
Do any of these work?

If it's the huge controller, it will not work (well, it tends not to work anyway). This is why MS now ships the S version controller with their Boxes because nobody liked the other one.dwest said:I have the same problem. X3 Installed on V1.6. Make sure you use the S controller.

I had this same problem when I first installed my X3, but as all of you figured out, it was indeed the controller. :roll:

By the way, this may be a dumb question but Zune is that mp3 player developed by Microsoft right?

A system update is when as soon as you connect to Xbox Live, it says update. An update for Zune is when you run Zune on your xbox and it says update. And yes, Zune is a video/music software based off the MP3 player MS made.
