No dashboard after flash

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I flashed the 1mb bank (on on off off) with version 3.0.1 (flashbios_v301-unauthorized.bin) and it was flashed... there is no dashboard loading up or anything I still have the FlashBios screen. I then grabbed the 3.0.3 (flashbios_v303.bin from team xecuter) bios and tried that on the second 1mb bank (off on off off) and it reads 3.0.1 even after I flash it. And I am still not getting a dashboard or anything. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. I flashed through http

get the latest bios x3_1959 and flash it. what you did is nothing more than reflash the flashbios and all you will see is the flashbios screen.

I thought i was flashing it from the menu that says flash from network. anyways...i followed all the tutorials on how to flash the bios and i followed all the steps... if theres something i'm missing or i just dont get please let me know thansk

you need to get the latest x3 bios file.
if you need help go to xbox-scene and look for a tut on "xbins"

btw the lastest is 1959

once you have the 1959 bios rar file unrar it and you will have to know what version you need. for versions 1.0-1.5 you will need the x3_1959.bin and for the 1.6 you wll need the x3_1959_16.bin.( the file names may be different than what i have listed here)

that is the bios that you need to flash to the x3 from the flashbios screen.

Do you have a dashboard installed? If not, it goes on your HD and isn't a bios.

Holy crap. How can you not know this if you've gotten this far?

First of all, you are flashing your banks with flashbios... which is the thing you are using to flash. Get the X3 1959 BIOS from xbins! Use Flashbios to flash that to banks 1234 (only switches 1&2 to the right). Then, once you have a hacked bios, you can run unsigned software, i.e. slayer installer or evox dashboard, backups, whatever. The DASHBOARD is what goes on your HD. The bios is stored on your chip.

hahah i know i sound like an idiot.... the thing is... i've done all of this already.... just tried it again... when i try x3_1959.bin with the switches on on off off it says got image to flash... then i get a msg sayin unable to flash halted or something along those lines...

check the flash protect switch on the chip and the front panel. you can also disconnect the ext. switch and try to flash again.

you are flashing FLASHBIOS and then FLASHBIOS is what comes on screen - wtf else do you expect to happen ?

Ok guys I get the whole banned thing but i could care less for MS Live, M$ will get no more off my hard earned money after my purchase of several consoles. So that being said i have used jungelfasher successfully in the past on BenQ drives using my 360 for power, now I just tried to flash a damn Hitachi 79FK and i get nothing but issues. This is what it said after getting the drive into mode B and using the 79 unlock cd i go to dumb drive and click on the read to source button. drive rev undetermined, aborting then my computer freezes up and im locked out till i do a hard restart.

I have never had an issue flashing BenQ drives, Ive used my laptop and a PCMCIA SATA Card w/ VIA VT6421A Chipset For Xbox 360. I dont have and isue getting the Hitachi Recognized and in mode B, and yes wonce in mode be the computer gives it a drive id letter. But after that i am road blocked, any insight of those that have been there and or advise from you guys and gals that have years of experience beond my own. Oh and for those who are wondering the drivers for the PCMCIA card i installed the universal drivers VIA_RAID_V530C i tried the cd it came with but it kept freezing up my computer.
ok used my brother in laws computer, its now flashed in under 2 min!

it worked like a charm, i just had to disable auto driver upload in vista by deleting the drive it tries to upload. if you know where to look and have a program like tuneupwizard you can delete the auto drivers vista tries to install, you cant delete with vista it wont let you touch the file. thank you im up and running now with my laptop running jungle flasher, no more freezing when I try to flash hitachi drives now. I dont have to use my brother in laws desktop to flash hitachi anymore! Thanks SO MUCH!
