No display output with chip on

Hi, I have installed an X3 in my 1.6 XBOX and all seems well - when booting with the chip on, the front panel, LAN led's etc etc lights up correctly but there is no display on my screen... if I boot with the chip off, the normal microsoft dash loads and there is an output on my screen.

Any ideas? I have checked, removed and resolderd all of the connections three times now and they all check out ok with a multi-meter.

Can anyone shed any light please???

You using the stock m$ av cables to connect to your TV?

If its a 1.6b I dont think you get anything when you boot to cromwell - I could be wrong tho.

I am modding a friends 1.3-1.4 and i have the same problem... we had to do a wire install cuz Chipdealer.com sent us a kit with no pin headder! I to have re-soldered this thing 3 times and i am an expert with the iron! Boots to stock ok, boots to flashbios ok, boots 1959 on chip and I get sound but no video. any ideas on the topic would be appreciated.

Ok your problem might be the lpc pins check them

having same problem here this sux man i have tried on two different xboxes both 1.0 and still no video sound is ok , m$ dash everything ok ,flash bios ok too. i wanna break this sh*t man...

If u ever want to know where my xbox n high building sig comes from then u know where now I had same problem ask some poeple onn here they will know lol my wining was non stop till I fixed it just check your soldering my only advice it fixed mine.

Hi guys. i have just get my xbox 360 to be able to read backups, its the new xbox 360 elite cod mw 2 of 250g, im able to read and play some games. some others i receive an error message: "disk is unreadable, please clean it and insert it again", i have tried: icono, tdk, maxmax, Edigital, well.... a lot. i have a samsung, lite on and a pioner dvd drive, i have test in diferent burning speeds, again guys please help. i have spend a ridiculus amount of money on dvds that are not working. From time to time i can ask a friend to test the not working dvds and they work in his xbox 360 PRO, i do not know what is going on.

sounds like a week laser..... i would say a pod tweak, if that is not helpful you will properly need a replacement drive. But before that you could always try cleaning the laser with some alcohol and Q-tips/cotton buds
