Hey All -

Being rather stubborn and impatient, I tried to flash my drive today for the first time (first for me.) Previously, it was on LT 2.0 which someone else did.

I have a Samsung 28 and Xecuter X360USB PRO, but no power source so even though risky, I choose to use Xbox's power.

Here's what I did:
1. Hooked up drive to power of Xbox (Xbox only had power hooked up)
2. plugged X360USB into drive, then computer (drivers already installed on Win7 x64)
3. Ran JungleFlasher as Admin
4. Went to MTK Flash 32 Tab
5. Made sure the I/O Port was set to 0x000
6. Clicked Sammy Unlock - Drive displayed as Vendor Mode
7. Read Firmware & Saved it
8. Saved key in .bin
9. Saved read flash, too
10. AutoLoaded FW when prompted
11. Clicked Write

It started Erasing, then got an error. Found out the Xbox automatically powered off during process!!!

Now, I plug everything up (after power cycling everything but computer) and enter JungleFlasher. The X360USB & correct FW is shown, but drive says: No Drive Detected.

Note: I noticed the X360USB flashing blue while initially having trouble.

Thanks for any help / suggestions!

What can I do!?!?!

Nothing,
We do not support ANY KIND OF USE of xbox 360 power supply as it is VERY UNSTABLE thus came CK3I/CK3 MINI. You will be lucky if anyone even tries helping you as this to be honest is just an overkill.

Well, I now agree. I guess you live and learn. :)

Here's the status if anyone wishes to suggest any methods to try...

I followed the directions in the link for troubleshooting - however - could not get the drive to eject either manually nor when hooked up properly to the Xbox, itself.

When I run the "Intro / Device ID" followed by the immediate reseat of power (I do the power immediatly after clicking Yes on the confirmation window), I do get "Device in Vendor Mode." From there, though, it's not stable.

I can usually Read existing firmware when in this mode, but cannot Erase / Write. When I try to do so, it takes a while - then will say it's Invalid. When I try to "Unlock Sammy," it says Failed on Stage 1.

So... any more ideas?...Please!

Thanks -

OK - I tried what everyone's suggested and am still having an issue. If I can get one thing corrected, I think I'll be good, though. Here's what's up.

1. I loaded JungleFlasher (newest), then plugged in the drive's data via USBPRO and power via XBOX (Yes, I just ordered a CK3).

2. The USBPRO showed up, but not the drive. I clicked on Init, unplugged the drive's power, clicked yes to confirm, then immediatly plug the power back into drive.

3. The drive is now detected and in Vendor Mode. (See screenshot)

4. I select my original firmware (which I dumped from the drive initially), then the stock firmware as the target, then spoof the key. (See screenshot)

5. Back on the other tab, I click Write. It starts writing (as you can see in screenshot) but always results in Write Failed! This is what started the bricking in the first place. Maybe a bad or wrong firmware?!?

Note: During this time, the power from the XBOX to the drive was uninterrupted.

So - with the screenshots & log, can anyone tell if I'm leaving something out / doing something wrong? Perhaps I'm mixing up which firmwares go where.

Thanks -

So... spoofed or not, does that mean I do anything differently or anything else you suggest I try?

Thanks!
