GENERAL No DVD Drive?

I just got my hands on a fully working Trinity Mobo. But it didn't come with the drive was told it was fried. And i don't have the FW or Dummy bin. I've RGH'd it and got the drive Key. So what are my options now? I have a spare unlocked pcb. Is there any way to get it up and running on Live?

Use the osig to get the drive revision that matches that mobo. Find one of those drives, flash with key obtained from rgh. remove coolrunner and should be good to go on live.

Only if its a 9504\0272. Any other drive type will need to be perma rgh.

If its 9504\0272 you can lizfix the key to the drive and it will work fine in a stock xbox

Am i right in saying that i can't just flash the key to another drive? This option has been disabled in Jungleflasher. I know from the RGH info that it was a 9504. The spare unlocked pcb is a freedom.

You are in luck! Just lizfix your key to the drive.

No its a process by which you can write a key to a 9504 drive

Yeah just found the pdf. Tried the tut but when i get to the writekey part i get an error msg saying 'failed stage 1'.

Ok guys got the writekey sorted. But my last issue now is to fill in the boxes in the update serial info. As i don't have the original drive where/how do i get the info to fill in the serial info?

Serial info shouldn't be necessary for 9504\0272. Try it out and see what happens
