Ok. i am trying to repair a bad bios install for a guy. it seems the individual who originally modded the xbox loaded several unknown bios's on all the banks for the x3. well, i can't get to the x3 config , because the x3 bios is not on the x3 chip. i tried ftp'ing in and flash it that way, but they is no admin folder to load the new bios bin.
i also used the evox new hdd disk to try and flash from there and i always get " unknown bios, halting," even though the bios is the x3 3029.
i proceeded to load the evox dash and flash from there, still no luck.
tried all banks , ... to include the backup bios and there is no flashbios.

i was going to network load the bios, but again ... there is no flashbios to boot.

any ideas....

Sorry but what idiot would f*ck up an X3 like that? You have couple of options that I would suggest. If you have another xbox with x2.6 or x3 installed, you can try hotswapping the chips. If you don't have another xbox to swap and the current xbox has ftp capability with evox dashboard installed, you can install flashbios on one of the banks and then flash X3 bios from there. Just read this thead how to do it: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showpost.php?p=107480&postcount=1

does anyone know if the x2 programmer will work to upload a flashbios on the x3 chip?
Not at the present but may be in the future. Martin C is working on it I believe but don't quote me on that.

Sorry for taking a long time to reply to the forum. i was on vacation when posting. well, i was a little nervous about hotswapping the chips so instead i ftp'd in the evox dash to my c drive and proceeded to flash it from there. During the flash, the box froze up and the chip did not flash. I then inserted the evox new hdd dvd and was able to successfully flash it from the hard drive.
thanks for the support.
Xecuter chips are kick ass!!!!!!
