No FlashBIOS screen anymore...

I have been lurking here for the past 3 days and I can't seem to put the pieces of the puzzle together. I can not get to the FlashBIOS 3.01 or 3.03 (anymore). I got to it once and tried flashing it through HTTP and that seemed to work, but after trolling the forums I got the wrong bios on there. I do not remember which bank(s) I flashed to. I have tried accessing FlashBios from the first 1MB (on on off off) and the second 1MB (off on off off) by pushing the eject button. when doing it from the second 1MB, I get the on off on off on green/red blinking eject button indicating the wrong bios is installed. When I do it from the first 1MB it comes on and sits with a blank screen and an orange eject button.

My Setup:
xbox 1.6b
X3
xtender
I've got the 4 buttons on the front for bank switching and the flash protect button.


So my question is....
Can I still burn the X3 bios to CD or DVD (following the teamexecuter instructions of course) and flash the bios even though I can't get to FlashBIOs 3.01 or 3.03?

If not, what are my options?

1.6b does not work with FlashBIOS 3.01...
You need a bios to load a disc.. You need FlashBIOS to flash a new bios...

For 1.6b, you should boot into the 2nd one 1MB bank, (off on off off).. once in there flash to the 1st 1MB bank by changing the switches to (on on off off) and flash protect off and flash the new bios there.
This is just a safety precedure for when things go wrong...
Since you flashed over your only working bios with the wrong bios, none of the banks will work anymore...

The only options for you is to find someone that does not have a 1.6B and flash the chip for you, or if they have a 1.6b you need to hotswap.

I've got someone with a non 1.6b version. How do I flash my chip using their xbox?


Also, if anyone is in the atlanta (Georgia) area, I am willing to pay to have this done for me.

real quick. got a few friends w/ modded xbox's.

one wants to softmod mine. I told him it was a 1.6b. I wanna say I read somewhere on here that you can't softmod a 1.6b.

So is it possible to softmod a 1.6b?


it seems like a lot less hassle than hot swapping.

And has an Xecuter 3 chip already installed....

You would flash it the usual way instead this time you can get to the backup bios...

OK, so I just checked and he doesn't ahve an X3 (F U K !!!).

what now? Should I contact ModChipMan and beg him to reflash and offer some $$$ and shipping bothways?
