No FlashBios - What are my options?

No flashbios shows up only blank screen, wirings work using factory cables, blah blah... I've been reading these forums for the last few days and the only 'solutions' I've encountered are:

-swapping into an older xbox then flash (oh yeah cuz I have like 5 lying around)
-Wait for X3 programmer (Unknown ETA)
-Exchange the chip (no response from dealer yet 3 business days)
-buy another chip


Any other options?
Is this 'normal'?

Hitachi 1.51

I've got a Hitachi running 1.51. It is not banned as of November 3rd, which is when I unplugged it from Live.

Has anyone with a Hitachi 1.51 plugged into live lately. I am so tempted to try it. If the ban waves are over I think I might be safe. I lasted thru the first week of bans.

people with every type of drive has been banned so yea hitachi 1.51 has been banned lol wow you been off live for month dude your banning yourself and also they flag consoles that play bad rip alot of my friends did what your doing waited 2 weeks after ban wave still got hit with the ban hammer really depends if your console has been flag hopefully not

Being a newbie, I have been waiting to flash my Hitachi Drive. I have been reading forums and posts for about a month and don't see that many people using the 1.51 firmware being banned. I was just wondering if I flash it now what are the chances that I have never been flagged by M$? Another question is about the ABX program. Is it possibly the reason the firmware is being detected? I do know that it takes a few days for new games to be able to stealth properly thru ABX, but how can I guarntee the stealth was done properly since the 1.51 firmware does not read the partitions as the other firmwares. As of now I do not own or plan on playing any current wave 4 games but I do know I won't have a choice. Any helpful hints for this newbie would be appreciated.

Did you finally go to get on and get banned? I hope not. I may just go buy a new xbox with a 20gb HDD and mod it and play games that I want to off line then just wait for the new firmware. I only play sports and shooters online so really I don't need to worry too much about being banned. My only questions is can I take a download for a game and use my memory card and transfer it to the 20gb hard drive.

By download I assume you mean DLC? If so, you can't transfer it as it will say "Corrupt Data" but you can recover it on an unbanned console through Xbox Live for free

Thanks. I haven't done any modding yet cause it just seems that M$ has there hand in everything.
