Don't trip bro, relax. There's an alternate point. Lets wait for someone more experienced to explain.

The cost of everything you've bought for this is actually more than most people (including me) to do it all for you.

Not a smart move, especially if you can't solder.

Sell it as faulty then if you have no money, or sell a game or two to pay for it.

Yeah i know it would of been cheaper just to pay someone but wheres the challenge in that? I want to learn new things to add to my short list of things i know how to do that most people dont.If you went through life just paying people to do the "challenging" stuff you wouldn't learn anything(some exceptions).

So who can fix this and RGH this for me and how much will it cost?I live in Florida if you havent already seen my profile.

Well you can add "being able to f**k up a perfectly working games console" to your list now. I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't able to do this (or have more common sense to try).

Well thanks for helping me out trying to fix my Xbox. BTW...trying something hard doesn't mean people don't have common sense.

So if I REALLY try hard to fly by jumping out of a window, I have common sense?

Or how about I try to drive a car on a road without any lessons or experience.

Common sense is the thing that keeps most of us from harm, or stops us from doing things that are beyond our skill level.

You don't just wake up and know how to solder.

You also don't learn to solder on a working console.

You most certainly don't learn to solder on a working console when you don't have the money to replace it.

That, my friend, is common sense.

Um yeah I'm sure trying to jump out of a window and trying to fly has nothing to do with common sense(Since its scientifically proven humans cant fly without the help of a outside force). I already knew how to solder so a mistake is a mistake. .Sure I don't have money to fix it if I messed it up but how many other people in history did something ....could of failed...and created something life changing....(ie. the Wright Brothers,Bill Gates, gligli,I can go on forever.. I don't see why your trying to shove your "common sense" in other people throats. You do it in a lot of threads I've read that you have responded in.Sure some people maybe deserve it ....but not all.

Haven't tried yet. Before I messed things up I was up for 2 days working on it.I went to bed to get a clear head so I can try it later(or maybe get someone to do it for me:tongue:).

Scientists have proven that bees can't fly. Yes, that's right - their weight should be too much for their wings, but they manage it all the same.

So maybe you're just not trying hard enough?

Look - I've no doubt in my mind that with enough time, practice and research that one day you'll be able to solder. Do you REALLY want to be trashing perfectly good equipment to get there? Does that sound like common sense to you? It doesn't to me.

I don't understand you. You were the most help until I f**ked up and then you were all about "hey use common sense next time".It's like "hey I can still RGH my xbox"but as soon as something messes up bad your like "oh well use common sense next time".You have seen my pictures and they are decent. You never had doubt in my ability to solder or you would of said something earlier within the hours of trying to help me.Even professionals makes mistakes.

Because right now, your console is still salvageable. However if you can't solder to CPU_RST then you'll probably kill the console trying the alt point. It's not a secret fix - the pics etc are on these forums.

Above all, remember that we're not here to fix your soldering. When you bought the CR, it is assumed you have the skill to install it. It's only because we're nice enough not to bump you off the forums over the fact you CAN'T solder.

Sell a few games to pay for the fix - you'll only be a few games down. If you break the console completely, you'll have no console and the games will be useless anyway since you can't afford to replace it.

You do repairs but you live in the UK. What are the prices to ship + repair and finish the RGH?If it's too crazy because of shipping or w/e can you please point me in the right direction to someone possibly closer?
