hello everybody,

noob here.

i'm in the process of doing the rgh to the consoles of some of my friends.
the last one, a zephyr, worked, although it is a bit picky about booting.
so, yesterday i did a jasper and i never even got a green light on the CR. that is after the CR was programmed as the green light went off after i programmed it.
it is a jasper 16mb BB according to jrunner.
i dumped the nand twice, both are the same.
have a bad block at 2A8.
made ecc-image, then wrote ecc-image and then nothing.
the console won't boot. not into xell and not into the dash. just a black screen.
so, i flashed the original dump back just to see that the console now has a RROD.

could the reason for the RROD be my soldering?
or would it more likely be that i moved the mainboard by holding the heatsink(s)?
the console worked before the installation as i checked wether it has an internal memorycard or not.

honestly i think i messed up at some point.
but is there a way to get that baby going again?

thanks in advance for any helpful/insightful answers.

Check your secondary RROD code, if its 0022 then it's your soldering. Checl the PLL_BYPASS point.

Everywhere
I had the same problem with a slim, a trace was broken, until I fixed it I had red led. Also, check the MB for solder splash.

Note: Keep wires away from this area....
now that would be an easy fix. :)
i'll check that when i come home and if rerouting the wires doesn't do the trick then i'm gonna resolder the green wire and see if that helps.
if anyone has more tips, just tell.
but i think the first thing to do is check the green wire and its solderpoints.
thanks everyone so far!

now that would be an easy fix. :)
guess what!!!
it was that easy!
i rerouted the green wire so that it is not "touching" the area underneath coils and voila, it works.
so, my soldering isn't that bad i guess.:D
i'm just dumb enough to not check the wire route.

THANK YOU !!!!!

hello again,

i have a few more questions:
1.
is it ok if i put a freeboot/rgh image of the latest dash on the nand although the used nanddump (latest installed dash) contains a lower version dash?

and more importantly:
2.
does j-runner remap all bad blocks or does it only do the first 50 for the ecc-image so that i need to use rawflash to remap all bad blocks?

3.
i had an error reading the nand (error 250 at block 275) and then an error while writing the nand (error 202 at block 275).
i don't know what that means.
can you tell me if that's good/correct or if i have to do something about it?

i did 4 boxes so far and one had this error thing from question 3 and one had a bad block somewhere after the first 50 blocks.
i did all of them using j-runner and all of them are working fine so far.

thanks in advance!
