RGH no green light on CR with capacitor and odd capacitor technique for fast booting

i recived a jasper 16MB from someone that tried to RGH his console by himself and in the process destroyed the STBY_CLK point

all the trace was gone from the pad all the way to the hana chip and he allso removed the resistor on the way

the console was completely dead and i couldent even read the nand

i was managed to repair the trace using 36 ohm resistor and the console was powering on and i was able to read the nand

now im having issue with the booting time to the hacked karnel- i have long booting times from 40 sec to 2 min

when i put 68nF or 100nF capacitor the green light doesnt flash at all

the odd thing is when there isnt capacitor and after the first green light flash if i gently stroking the GND and point A with the capacitor every half a sec it boot allmost immediately:crazy:

someone have an idea what i can do to solve this issue?

by the way im using the alternative STBY_CLK point - the original point is very weak due to is close proximity to the hana chip (i didnt want to burn the chip)- the console doesnt boot if i use this point

The Cap thing is for BIG BLOCK jaspers . It wont make a diff to a 16 . I would give it back to him boot ing at 40 seconds . I`m sure he`ll be stoked after the mess he made of it . I think if you carry one "gently stroking" sh*t it`s not going to end up as you want . Put the case on and give it back mate !

i done 12 console allready (phat and slim) all with the coolrunner
most of them work like a charm but one 16MB jasper console had 5 min boot time
i added a CAP in point D to wire and a second CAP between point A to GND and fixed the problem- 10 sec boot every time

so it isnt true only to BB jasper
i allready told him its fixed with bad booting time but i thought i could improve the booting time if i improve the stroking technique by puting different CAP value

some ideas?

problem solved
i connected 100nF CAP to point A and insted of connecting it to the GND point i solder it to the case of the console (not far from the AV port with 15 cm wire from the second leg of the CAP)
the light green flashing and console boot in 5 to 10 sec
:D
hope this will help you guys having troubles and bad booting times

Nice! I have to try on zephyr too. Anyway they always say "give up and return back". I modded already 2 slims and downgraded atleast 5 ps3(slim and fat) with ProgSkeet and you should see how is soldering NOR there..a nitghmare. Xbox is easier.

thanks
please let me know how it goes

you can connect the 10-15 cm wire from the CAP to the AV port leg (not the one the GND wire is connect to- but you can try different places -close or far to the GND connection point with the AV leg)
