No LAN light on Switch

What is the LAN light for and what does it stand for?

As I soldered the 3 wire plug, the d0 point works fine (frag), the HD light comes up, but the LAN light doesn't.

What is it for, and what should I check to make sure it comes on?

LAN = Local Area Network it for if you hook a ethernet cable up to your xbox

the LAN light will work only if you have your xbox hooked up to a PC or other xbox it tell you that the xbox is connected to your pc other xbox
