I'm trying to install an X3 in my friends 1.6b Xbox, but I'm having a problem flashing it. When I turn it on, it goes to the Flash menu, but there aren't any options, just a blue screen with "FlashBIOS 3.0.3" in the upper left. After reading through the forum, I think I has something to do with the dip switchs, but I'm not quite sure what positions they should be in, as I've never had to use them before. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Unplug any 3rd party devices from the controller ports. Also, check to make sure the DVD and HDD cables are connected.
If in any doubt, remove all connections with the exception of the power connector and the power/eject switch connector. You should still see FlashBIOS properly with no controller ports, DVD or HDD connected.

i have a problem like that but i can see the menu but after that i can't do nothing, what's wrong

If you have the menu items and you cannot change the option, then make sure you have an official MS Controller. FlashBIOS can be a little 'picky'.._evox_ said:
