No network connection after coolrunner install

I just finished up installing a coolrunner on a newly bought, used falcon. I only tested it to see if it would turn on, didn't test network. When xell boots up It receives an IP via dhcp and I can connect to its web interface; I can not get it to work the same when it boots normally. Ive set the IP manually and it still will not connect to my network. Anyone have any suggestions on my next steps? Also I am connected via ethernet if that matters.

Why set up ip?

What type of router do you have. Does it not assign own ip?

Firewalls?

What are you trying to connect to?

Use fsd let it download covers? Or access the FTP?

I think it blocks live access. Not to sure

I want to setup ip so I can use ftp and having fsd download covers, and maybe a little xlink. The router is my att router, I have am untangle firewall in between but those should not be stopping me from connecting the system to the network. Dashlaunch does block live, and thats fine, dont want to use it. And I do have livestrong = false

I had a similar issue with my Fat JTAG. Are you getting a 169 IP address or 0.0.0.0? What I did to resolve this was once I was in FSD, I loaded up the Xbox Dash and checked the network settings. For some strange reason there were manual settings in here so I cleared all the settings out and tested until I got the regular Dash working.

Once this was working I booted up FSD and all was well. I hope this helps.

I can set it to auto, still no difference. I just went out and bought a wireless adapter, it sees the wireless network but it doesn't seem to be able to join the network.
