The xbox goes on and shuts off when I try to boot it up normally but the chip works fine with the modded part. How do I fix the original boot up when holding the power button? thanx

I'd say it was your soldering. Check the soldering for the d0 wire. Make sure it's not shorting with any other point.BlandO said:

found that problem, the ground screw was pinning in the d0 wire. now on the boot up I get video and power...but I get a "your xbox requires service" screen. there is no # in the corner to go by.
