Hey,
I recently traded for two jtag xbox360s. One a falcon, and the other a zephyr. I was told that these were red ring consoles, but I get them in the mail today, and both dont power up at all and have no response when tried to be powered up. Zephyr i have not really messed around with, but the falcon I have redone all the jtag points. Didnt show any help. and tried to read the nand with my nand-x. No response and flash controller not detected. Also when i plug the power cable to the falcon the red area in this pic gets really hot(this is not actually my xbox, just a picture i found on the internet and photoshopped but it is the area that gets hot)

just wondering if anyone has ideas on how to get these working?

Can't see anything from that picture, it's really too small. All I could think of at this moment is possibly a faulty MOFSET, specially if someone else tried to cure it from the RROD with a heat gun :( . . .

I will take a more detailed picture later, but would a mofset cause the xbox to not power on whatsoever? Just wondering, I am not very fluent in xbox repair

Yes it would, after all a MOFSET is a power regulator ...

Try xmods, he's from the US and a well known member here. You can also post in the 'Request A Service' section of the forums, stating the problem and your town/country, then someone local or nearest to you can offer their services.

if it's been flashed with wrong smc, this cab bugar up the whole job, sometimes the short method or just plugging the console in when pressing read button may get it to read.
