No Power to Chip

I have a 2.6 xecuter chip with a solderless adapter and a version 1.0-1.5 xbox. It's the blue solderless adapter. I install it just like i have others in the past, and get no lights on the chip or the external switch. When I hook the chip up to my computer with the programmer, i see the lights and i'm able to flash it. I tried to push down on the adapter, and it seems to be making a connection. Any ideas that could help out? Thanks a lot.

Are you sure it is not a 1.6/1.6b?

i really appreciate you replying

Yea it is a version 1.2 or 1.3. I just did the simple look at the video chip, fan, and power connector. I can run the serial number to see exactly what version it is if you'd like. THanks,
Joe

A visual inspection is more accurate than the serial number method. Did you use the little cylinders that you insert into the LPC bus holes? I have never used a solderless adaptor, so I really can't be of much help, sorry.

Yea, i checked the version out by looking at the inside, not the serial number

I'm still having this problem, I contacted modchip.ca's tech support and they say it's in the install, not the chip since i was able to flash it. But I have no idea what could be wrong with the install, it's real straight forward.

Anyone else?? Please help.
