I have tryed to RGH my 360. It is a Zephyr model i think. I have solderd the QSB's on the board and tryed to read the nand first to have a backup before i flashed a prepaird image.

After i solderd the QSB's i have connected the xbox to the powersupply and tryred to start it first. But there is no response from anything.

After that i did a research and found out that some people have a problems like this with the QSB's and little solderpoint on the lengh side of the qsb. I found a thread were it was mentoid that this solderpoint maybe bridged and and that's why the console doesn't boot.

So in the next step i removed the QSB's and cleaned up the solderpoints to start the console. But the console still refuses to boot.

I have messured some voltages and the standby power (5V) is still in tact right behind the powerconnector. A have looked closly at the board but i can't find anything that looks messed up. The only thing i know is that i used flux and forget to remove it after the soldering so my guessing is that this have maybe caused a short and that the nand is maybe damaged (readed that this can cause a console refusing to boot too).

Maybe someone have expirienced the same or similar things and can help me out here.

Here are the full res. picutures

Flux alone generally wont cause this issue. I had a similar issue with Two jaspers I tried to glitch... found I had shorted them out by wiring things backwards... recheck all your wiring, not only colors but check and make sure they go to CORRECT points.

Out of curiousity were you trying to RGH2? Because if so, the QSB's for the CoolRunner actually cover up needed points for RGH2... you'd be better off with a wires only install until TX makes a QSB specifically for RGH2.

i know i was makeing images at the moment you can find them now in the first post. The console doesn't power on anymore and i have no wires installed at the moment. Yes wanted to do a RGH2 didn't know that the QSB is only for RGH1 . If the console gets back on i do a cable only installation.

Pics still dont show up, but Ive got a funny feeling you did exactly what I did. If you can still flash the nand, try to flash your stock nand back to it, and remove all wiring... see if it boots.

And yeah, there are points that the RGH2 system uses that those QSBs for the Cool Runner cover up, the QSB's were designed with RGH1 in mind... I ran into the same issue when I tried to RGH2 a Jasper. My trouble ended up being that I crossed the 3.3v, and the F wire... fried a bunch of stuff. Sometimes its reversible. LoneWolf on here has managed to reverse the damage I caused to mine... he might be able to give some insight to what you did if you can get some pics up. Try using ImageShack.us to upload them, and then direct link them here... trying to upload a hi-res photo of a mobo as an attachment on this site is next to impossible.

LoneWolf is away this weekend though, so I'm not sure when he'll be able to give any more info.

Hi, its dificult to see properly on pic177, but it looks like you may have burnt off the trace between the QSB solder point stby_clk and R4B24. If so, bridge this point and your box should be ok.

can you please mark the place i should bridge because i don't understand exactly what you mean.

The solder point stby_clk and R4B24 should be seperated normaly for the console to boot. Even on a unmodified original console this points are not connected to each other

Rob C is correct. The stby_clk point and the resistor are connected normally. If you broke that trace, it would cause your problem

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Someone called? :rolleyes2:

OP: Rob and Joe are right, trace is burned clean off..get some 30awg wire to repair it between stby_clk and the resistor.

edit: Tony beat me to it.

i had measured already the tiny ones these had diffrent outputs. The most oft them have 0,3 K Ohm i had the multimeter set to 20k ohm. Im for today finished with this i will try this tomorrow and post back
