I ordered a sputnik probe and it came with the long power cord. It has the 2 wires on it to connect to the probe, but there is not a push button anywhere that you need to push before probing the MXIC board.

Is it necessary to push that button before probing the MXIC? If so, why isn't the button on my cord?

Last, if it is needed, what cables are the push button on so I can solder one on myself? The #6 3.3v?

When you click 08XC on JF when you get to that step, you will click yes then in the log there will be ................... At that point you probe the appropriate point.

There is no need to power cycle 3.3v when unlocking an MXIC Lite-On so a switch isn't needed.

Your Sputnik Probe will have a dip bank fitted with four switches on - try the unlock with 10 Ohms selected (switches 1, 3 and 4 ON with 2 OFF).

Read this thread for more details.
