No red light on CR

I have a couple of questions.

First of, I can't get a red light on my CR. Could it be because I use the old RGH method? I have CB 5773, Falcon and flashed with JR with method 2.

Second, I'm about to order some more CR's and I noticed that the new RGH 2 only support wires (atm?) so it's not idea to order QSB? I guess I need to remove the QSB and go for wires?

Thanks!

You used the "old method"?

I think you need to read up a little more about RGH 2.0 before you proceed (the wiring is slightly different to the original reset glitch hack).

You can still order a QSB, the STBY_CLK spot is still the same but RGH 2.0 now uses i2C as opposed to CPU_PLL_BYPASS to slow the CPU down.

Well, the original method.

I haven't wired it for RGH2 but I can't get my CR to light up (red light). Can't it be because I use CR and write the new .xsvf file to it and use the original wiring?

Alright, I might order a couple of QSB's as well then.

That is either because you haven't soldered 3.3V/GND correctly or your CoolRunner is set to PROG.

However, it's pointless trying to fix that right now until you have the correct wiring configuration for RGH 2.0.

Hmm, I have checked the soldering and it seems alright.

You are right. I will start another thread if I can't fix it when the new stuff arive.

Thank you!
