sounds like there might be dodgy contacts on the install.
its the solderless so dont check for solder splashes, but have you scratched/damaged anything?
Make sure the P0 connector is on tight -i dont know how it works on the solderless install so check those connectors are on tight.

You say it powers up. What do you get on screen?

Are you using an origional M$ gamepad and is it in the FIRST controller port?
Did you plug the port back into the motherboard? (I forgot.)

What version of xBox are you using?

Details man! its well worth it.

OK, you need to know what version of boX you have.
If you can check all the connections then you've got your box open so go here to find out your version.

Also, what are your lights showing?

Right, if its switching on when you plug the cable in the back then to the best of my knowlage there is something wrong. It should not do that. Try removing the whole chip / the switch connector to see if it makes any difference.

to flash the latest X3 bios you're going to want to use the first 1mb of the chip. set the switches to on on off off (off).

for more information RE bios's have a look at #xbins on the efnet IRC network.

Definately a poor connection on the LPC or D0. Might as well saved the $30 because you have to solder the LAN and HD LED anyways.
