No vid. not even on backup bios.

I got an X3 installed with the header and have the wire installed on my 1.0.... but... none of them give me video not even on the backup bios... anyone have any ideas? oh and btw. the header is installed 100% right with 100% contact and the rebuild is A+++ anyone know y it's not showing vid or audio?

Here is a pic of the botom of the LPC... small (photobucket sux) but works... and havent realised that flux looks alot like solder... hahha.... anyways... I added solder like 4X times... no bridging... and ALL contact apeat to be toucking.

dammit I hate you cant edit... anyways... I cleaned up alot and quadruple checked all the points even the rebuild... if the rebuild is wrong can that cause no video?

hehe... I fixed it up.... I did that at4am... looke good to me... but yea looks nice and clean now... I mean DAMMIT! I WANT MY CHIP TO WORK! but here is what is screwing me over... the chip doesent boot on my other xbox neither... same issue... no video\audio\eject... and my other one is a 1.0 (using the wire install)... anyone? I want to get this goin tonight :D

meh it looks good now.. but comon people... Y wouldnt I have any video on the backup bios either? not even on my 1.0 xbox. I tryed EVRY switch combo. and none boot.

Judging by your soldering I would say get someone to fit it for you.

You shouldn't have to 'clean up' a solder job. Just because it doesn't work on your 1.0, doesn't rule out bad soldering.

Hmmm, that lpc rebuild suggested 1.6 or 1.6b. Is your chip X3CE or the regular X3. If your chip is X3 and xbox 1.6b maybee you are getting no video becasue you dont have the proper flash bios. But the chip should work on 1.0. DO you have jumper 1 and 2 on and jumper 3 and 4 off?

it's a 1.6 (samsung ram) and I tryed EVRY! conbinasion possible.... all the same thing... even on the 1.0 no vid\audio\eject and turn orange after like 20 secs...

Edit: I have the original X3 (bought from divineo in september just nevergot around to install it till now.)

If it turn orange like you mentioned, then you must have heat problems. This was happening to me when I was testing an xbox after an install and it turned out that I forgot to plug in the fan. After I plugen in the fan, all was good.

The fan is in. and it doesent do a heat frag thing.. blink orange... doesnent the flash bios cromwell make your front pannel LED orange? and the cover is off and the drives arent even in the Xbox and yes the fan is in there also... but when i press the ejet button it blinks green.
