xbox 1.0 , x3 CE, Solderless - installed fine. Had trouble after installing slayer.
had black screen and FRAG.
after several hours i was able to FTP correctly and flash the 3108.
result? no FRAG. but still black screen.
OK HERES AN UPDATE!!!
A couple post ago, elsewhere on this site, i was saying i couldnt flash it. I finally was able to flash it. I disconnected the switch from the chip, made sure the chip was unprotected and flashed it with 3108.
after i flashed it, i rebooted, and nothing.
this is what happens when i hit the power.
POWER BUTTON FAST = xbox on, LCD on and it displays Xecutor 3 and my message i typed below it. the light around the eject button, is solid. I have a black screen, and theres no audio.
POWER BUTTON HELD = Sound of normal MS, no LCD(obviously), i hear menu of xbox's MS, NO VIDEO!! AUDIO ONLY!
POWER + EJECT = Goes into back up flashbios 301. I have a 160 GIG HDD and the Original. when the 160 is in it only views 33 gigs of space. thats not my problem now. but BOTH HDD work fine, and both give the same results just read.
some people were saying that they were flashing red/green. well i stopped that by flashing my bios with the 3108. but now, i cant see anything still. before i couldnt see anything now, i cant. EVEN when i REMOVE the chip, i have a black screen with the sounds of the MS.
what i dont understand is why my LCD is on, and it still has my message, G35inthe305 on it. ok? so that means i havent exactly wasted my chip. or the xbox for that matter. im trying to be relaxed and iv done alot of reading, but i cant do this alone, thats why this site is here and you guys as well. if you can relate or be of any help please feel free to post. i think i am the only ONE on this forum with this problem. i think, slayer took a shi* on me.
heres a thought, what if i format the HDD? but wait, that has nothing to do with the bios correct? after all i did switch up the HDD new and old, and had the same results.
