GENERAL No video on old Elite

Hi everyone,

I bought this old elite from someone wich isn´t giving any video on the normal component cable or HDMI cable.
I tested the cables those are good and working on my other consoles.
It´s been really weird because the console don´t have a red ring of death or something like that.
The console is giving a normal blinking green light, but the controller can´t connect to the console..
I was searching before posting, but i couldn´t find anything only that this console maybe blackscreens because it has been modded in the past..
Also i have started the console without the dvd drive connected and still no video output..
So i inspected the motherboard and there was some traces of soldering on this location:


What the hell could be the problem why i don't have video on this one?
The guy i bought it from sayed this console worked before

Anybody knows? all help appreciated!

Whats the manufacturing date of the console, if its a zephyr then it could be a GPU fail which could cause No video/audio but without a RROD error.

Edit:

U could also rgh/rjtag it to check the nand/ efuses match up as this could also cause issues, how do the fans behave, do they speed up periodically?

hell if in usa and u want to ship id try a reflow on the old scotle and prolly get it going.if it dont get it going i prolly wouldnt invest any more time/money on it on either of our parts.

Hi all, first of all thanks for the fast replies, i really appreciate it!

The manafacturing date is 2008-09-15 and the motherboard is a falcon.
The fans working how they should, i think this one got a RGH before, and after that something got wrong and the owner removed the chip to '' fix '' this console.
I got 2 dead consoles of him, and about both the guy lied about what was wrong with them, my guess is he tried to fix dead consoles and didn't know what to do so he sold them on false description.
I got my money back today and can keep the consoles, so the consoles are actually free beside the shippingcosts..

I already reflowed the damned thing, and still nothing.
So you guys recommend to apply a RGH or Jtag ?

@ nofeloniesyet i live in The Netherlands and i got all the tools i need, but thanks for the help anyway!

id try rgh,see if any infos off,then it may be reball time.
