Hi, a 1.6 xbox powers on but shows no video output at all. It was modded about 8 months ago and worked fine.

whether the chip is on or off, its still the same. The chip is not fragging either !

Does anyone know what the prob is, I fear its bad news.

regards

Did anything change just before this this problem started? Are you getting audio?

Make sure your video connections are good behind your equipment. Recently there was someone that thought they had a dead Xbox because it wasn't powering up, only to find later that their power strip had gotten switched off. Maybe you're in the same boat? Got any pets that like to chew on cables?

Same problem not video cords though

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Same problem but it is not video cords.

I have a 1.6 Xbox with an executer 3 chip installed. The installed has been check several times. It contains the lpc rebuild. I was able to get to the flash screen and performed the correct bios flash. When the bios flash was successful the box shut off like it was supposed to. When booting up with the chip on the screen flickers but stays blank. Booting with the chip off the screen flickers but stays blank. It will not boot to Microsoft Xbox dashboard or to the x3 live config screen. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rockmo69, since you can no longer get to the MS dash if the chip is disabled it sounds like you have an install problem. First, if you are using hi-def cables change back to standard composite cables and see if there are any changes. If not, this is probably a broken trace or solder splash. Not getting a FRAG at all, just no video? Any audio?

thanks for the reply. All connections are ok, my other xbox works fine when using the same leads. Just to clarify; the box isn't dead, the power light comes on and the blue chip light also comes on.

I just got no video output to the tv, whether the chip is on or off.

I have noticed though, that when the xbox is on the eject button light stays green. It used to turn red after so many seconds.
