Hi, need to explain myself before I go into my problem. I am with the US Army at a Marine camp in Fallujah Iraq (YES FALLUJAH!) As you can imagine there is absolutely nothing to do here, so I took it upon myself to order 6 premodded pre 1.6 xboxs with x3's and 200gb for me and my buddies. Now I love modding myself and have done many before but I dont have time out here to do that myself. All was fine, I received them all in working condition. Now to the problems.

I had problems with games freezing, which i read was fixed with a new bios. Before I got the chance to get online I made an error (we get 20 minutes at a time to use the internet after waiting in line for an hour or two and waiting sucks!) The xbox would freeze, and I would quickly press the power off and back on like a double click. This reset the xbox alright except that it came back on with no video, just sound. WTF. OK hook up another, I couldnt believe this. Did the same thing and wam it does it again. 2nd xbox no video, just sound. sh*t why not try for a third. Now I am pretty good at solving problems with the x2's and figured this would be easy.

Here is what I did to try and fix this. Booting into the x3 gave me flubber sound, no video, didnt seem to go anywhere. Booting into ms dash gave me error 21 with a locked HD. This is the weird part, the flubber had no video, yet when the error code came up it was fine. Booting into cromwell was fine too with video. I reflashed, no avail, same problem. I tried different known working harddrives. I checked solder points on all 3 xboxs. I do not know why i cannot get video. I do use s-video and switched to the regular cables, still no video.

I have searched hi and low for an answer with my limited time, no answer. Please help, having to send these back to the States and then back to me is going to take a month or longer.

PICS! can be found at IRAQ

Thank you
Chad

What type of tv's are you using NTSC or PAl if there PAl the Xboxes are set to NTSC So you would need to change them you can get Enigima Videomode Switchdisc from www.megagames.com just burn it to a cd-rw or DVD with an iso burner like Alochol 120%, or Nero pop it in hold down A to change it to PAL and hold b for NTSC so put in the cd reset xbox while holding down a count to 15 reset it and you should be set if thats the problems 8)

I thought maybe this was the problem too but then I realized I have a multisystem pal/ntsc tv. It will work anywhere in the world.. something I picked up from another soldier when i first got here.

Although I hear sound, i do not think it gets past the boot. When I think it would have reached the x3 config, I press down the number of times to boot to dash and try to get avalaunch to load. I do not hear any music play as It should meaning I do not think it loaded into the dash. I am going to try your suggestion anyways and do the enigima videoloader.

Thanks, still open for suggestions! Xecuter guys please step in here and let me know if you have heard of this problem!

swapping xbox harddrive then going online?

Ok, first off ive got a modded xbox 360 with 20gb harddrive, nearly 200 games all which are backups (",) i have never ever been online with this xbox & i brought the xbox brand new so i kno it has never been on xbox live, my question is = if i were to buy an original game like cod 2, and buy a brand new xbox harddrive, would i be able to play on xbox live on my modded xbox with the new harddrive & the original game, because i really wanna go on xbox live. I was originally going to buy a new xbox and use it to go online but if i could getaway with kust buying a harddrive the rest of the money will buy me a couple of games. thanks in advance.

HDD's have nothing to do with a modded Xbox. You can put a hundred different ones on there but if your DVD drive is flashed and you get caught the HDD attached at the time will be corrupted and you will not be able to ever go online with that Xbox again. If your Xbox is flashed with LT you should be safe. Any other firmware can be detected no matter if you have an original, backup, or even no game in the drive at the time.
