I have a newly installed Xecuter3. I used the solderless adaptor and all is well when I boot to the Microsoft dashboard. I can get to FlashBIOS which I updated to 303. I have even successfully flashed my chip with X2 bios and installed Avalaunch.

But why am I using the X2 bios on an X3?? Because when I flash the chip with the X3 bios (1959), the box boots up but there is no video. Everything I have found regarding this issue states that you need to clean up pins 13 and 14. This is a solderless install on a v1.0 box. I had to remove solder from the LPC ports in order to do the solderless install in the first place. There is NO SOLDER on the LPC at all.

As far as my dip switches go, I have them set to on on on on for the current X2 bios which is 256k on Bank1. When attempting to flash the X3 bios, I have tried both on on off off for Bank1-4 (1MB) and off on off off for Bank5-8(1MB). As I stated before, the flash takes, the box boots, it just forgets to display video...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

No u say there is no solder as u had to remove it...but have u cleaned off the flux..
this is resin based and sets like a goo once cool.
You have had your iron on all these points and it will coat em with flux

Clean up the contact points with Ethanol or Methylated spirits.
then make sure xapter sits flat on the board.

This is classic 13 & 14 contact probs i'm sure.

There has been one post i think where they had a dry joint on the x3 itself on the LPC..but clean that area first i'm certain it will work.

May I ask why you did a solderless install when you seem to be skilled enough with a soldering iron to remove the solder from the LPC in the first place?
