What if [AND THIS IS A BIG 'WHAT IF'] we somehow created another server to play online with. In a way, this would be like Xlink Kai, but more or less like XBL. If a group of experienced people could create a whole different server (again, like Xlink Kai, But also like XBL] and we could get Xbox's to run on it, then we could control EVERYTHING. We could ban people, update it, and all of that without XBL. For online games, instead, when you press XBL for an online game, it would connect to our server to begin matchmaking and all that.

there is something already was kind of browsing over the internet and found that there is a very large group of people creating remote local area networks and play their games as local network, that way they get to play with friends or family even if they are not on the same local area network.

That sounds like a job for TeknoGods. I don't know whether they'd develop something like this, though. They usually do smaller projects.
Edit: Also, why only for JTAG-boxes? It might very well be possible to re-route packets from a regular xbox to the custom server.

Getting the xbox to communicate with the custom server instead of the regular one would actually be quite simple. Creating the software for the custom server on the other hand would require alot of work and especially research.
I doubt anyone would take the task. And even IF someone with the necessary skills gave it a shot, a useable release would most likely be 1-3 years away.

But on the other hand, with LT+ being as good as it is, there isn't really a whole lot of use for such software besides skipping on the few bucks a month for gold membership.

Ok - First off, what are the odds that the actual servers aren't Windows based? And then again, how funny would it be if they were Linux?
Well for starters you can get windows on any server if you want but why if you know what your doing i have Ubuntu on my Server works out cheaper then windows and a piece of piss to use ;)

Well yeah, but it's not really an option for non-jtag boxes as many people have >30ms pings. It works for fast connections on short distances on non-jtags, but for longer distances, you need the hack.
and also alot of games don't have system link only xbl
