(noob) FTP help

hello,

I wanted to transfer an app to my xbox harddrive using ftp. I already flashed my bios using x3 3029 using a CDRW,but i want to transfer dvd2box app in my hard drive. how do i do this.

I read this tutorial. I have no problem connecting my xbox i just cant ftp into it. I ping the IP and it came up, but when I try to connect to it I can't.

What ftp program are you using?

im not using any of those, is there one that you can recommend for a noob.

That's more than likely a firewall/antivirus program issue.

Disable them and you should be able to connect.

just go to flashfxp.com and download it from there.

You can always go old skool and type cmd in your run command...

then type ftp (IP addy of XBox)

type ? for all the commands

type cd to change directories in the XBox...

type get to copy everything to whereever you want it...
(you can also use mget to do alot of files)

it's gonna go to whatever directory you were in in cmd...

so if you open cmd and it has a prompt like

C:\documnets and setting\catalystisyourdaddy\Application Data>

then all your stuff is going there when you ftp...

so before you start type cmd in run and cd to where ever your evox folder is...

when you want to send stuff to your xbox type put (or mput)
