Noob hdd help needed

Hllo, im new to all this, but i got a crystal xbox for xmas, and ive just orderd a x3 chip with the small extra switch box. I want to upgrade the hdd. Ive been told you can only use specific drives, is this true? as theres something to do with locking and ulocking them?

i found these on ebayure.com as ive used them before.
Are any of these any good to use on the xbox, any hlp is apriciated.

i've got the 300 gig seagate barracuda in mine if you use evox you can lock and unlock the hdd in the dash ive also been told that seagate is the best because it gives off less heat

As far as I know you cannot use a SATA drive in the Xbox
Seagate is supposed to be the coolest(as in temperature)
WD with the 8MB cache makes no difference as far as speed
Maxtor I've found to be the most compatible

Thanks for the help people, im going to go with the seagate ST3300831A which is on that list as working on a xbox 1.6 so thats me sorted, just gotta order it now
