noob help

umm I need some help.. I got my xbox from my cuz and it was hooked up to this network, well when he gave it to me he didn't give me any dashboards

and I have no idea how to hook it up to my network if some on could help that would be great

Without a dashboard installed yet, you cannot hook your xbox up to the network, You need a boot disc or a Auto-installer disc to be able to install a dashboard...

get your hands on auto installer delux dvd download or slayer evox installer if you on a slow ISP internet speed.
The AID has a number of dash to pick from and it will install them for you slayer installs evox as main dash
then go to xbox-scene and read the guides on how to network xbox
