I let my briother use my box and now it doesn't work ~_~ he said he was in the bios and turned on some thing like vga and such. now I only get sound out of it. I'm trying to flash bios to another bank but its not working. I'm trying to do it by http and I get this for a ip 192.168.1.101.255.255.255.0. I follow the tutorial but when I type in the ip on explorer I get nothing can anyone help? I try just the 1st part with out the 255 and still get jack

flashing the bios to another bank will not work because it uses a central system to check for your configuration selections. Regardless of what bios you have flashed and at what bank it still stores your options in the same place.
Everything still works you just need to know what to do when you are blind. When I get home from work I can step you through x3 config live so you can deselect vga mode even though you cant see anything.
If anyone else can do that thats cool.. im going to be here for another 6 hours.

I just found this browsing around the forums. Try holding abxy during boot up to reset the defaults on the chip.
I did the abxy thing and it was a no go still blank screen with sound. The walk through would be cool Thx

alright, you get sound right? Do you hear the opening flubber animation when you first turn on your xbox?
Do you get video if you disable the chip?

I hear the flubber animation after that I hear no sound.I get video when I turn on a differnt bios bank like 5-8 protect off next dial off next on the 2 after that off. and how do I disable chip pull it off the pin head?
when you turn on the xbox you hold the power button you should see a red led on the front panel display.

im still having the same problem... i did the abxy reset but wouldnt reset at all even after an IGR. tried the flashbios http flash but couldnt connect to the box. did the blind walkthrough in the config live with the a down 6 time etc... but didnt work either. i cant get in my ms dash cuz i replaced it with UIX so my xbox is useless at the moment. can anyone please help! 
There is an x3_erase that came with bios version 1959. I have never used it, so you'd have to do a search to see how to use it. That may be of some help, not sure though.
I haven't been able to find anything on it. I'm stilling not getting a thing out of my box but sound when X3 chip is on. looks like I might have to get a new chip or something which i really don't want to do

Don't buy a new chip yet, if anything, take it to someone who has worked with them a lot and they will be able to fix it for you.
