noob needs advice

OK so I have downloaded EVOx but I heard that you need to network your xbox to your hard drive to make it work and I want to just do everything by disc right now (until I figure out how to network them wirelessly).
I have also downloaded evoX auto installer 2.6, what I would like to know is, can I just burn this autoinstaller to disc put it in and everything will be done for me???? and is this wise?????
Oh and just to let you know, I still have the original HD in my xbox (cant afford to buy a new one right now)

Ok - burn Slayers 2.6 to Disk (usual manner for ISO image files) and boot it. The dash/apps install options are fairly good and will at least allow you to install Evox/XBMC/Apps to your Stock HDD. Read the menu options carefully though and don't select anything that you're not sure of!!

Do I still install my X3 bios first to flash the chip?????
Then put in the auto installer????
