noob needs help I bet you get this one every day

ok. So I'm completely new to the modding scene. I got the X3CE today. Installed it fine. Now the noob that I am I had no idea that I needed to install a bios. Here’s the problem. I have no idea what I am doing. I have never owned an xbox. Just got one a couple days ago. I have no idea what flashing is and need help to get it running. What do I download. Were do I get it. and What do I do with it. This noob needs help!

By the way since this is my first post I would like to introduce my self. I am a Film student studding at NCSA. Planning to get into SPFX. I want to mod my new xbox so I can have something to help me relax after those long days on set (trust me there are a lot of those) Any help would be great. I'm looking forward to being a member of this community. Please for give my spelling. I suck at it.

Search for Xecuter3 Config Live or X3CL and download the latest version, then flash that to the chip using FlashBios.

Then search for Slayers auto EvoX installer and use that to install everything else u need, theres loads of stuff on there.

I used a CD to put the files on because it seemed the least complicated.

flashing you chip with a bios will need you to get x3 bios from #xbins

you will have to find out what xbox you have v1.?? so you flash the right bios

x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x3 3294 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs

dont use slayer its getting old use a dvd called auto installer delux 3 it has all the new dash an apps you will need check out xbox scene and read and pick a dash you like evox is a good one to start out with but old

See my problem is I don't understand any of the terimology. I don't know what flashing is. I've never worked with bios before. And I only have a slight idea what protection is (the switch right?) Also I got the bios I think I need and put in on a cd. But it reads it as not finding the bios. I know it needs a file called bios.bin but. Arg! HELP!
