Hi,
I know this question is really noob but I cant find info anywhere else. I can't run the Xbins.bat. When I do so, the file become transparent and nothing happen. The icon of the file is this kind of white paper with a window on it (the kind of icon you get when you dont have the right program to run a file).
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help and again sorry for such a question :X

im not really sure because i don't really know much about pc hardware but i know that xbins.bat uses the comand prompt and if there is something wrong with the "cmd" or it's corrupted, then you can't access anytihng that has to do with the ms dos or command prompt.

so to make sure there's nothing wrong with the command prompt go to:

start>run>cmd and if a error comes up then that means that there is sometihng wrong with your microsoft windows and you'll have to reinstall it in order to get your computer back in shape.

if the cmd is not the problem then i don't know sorry

The first picture is before I click it, then the second is after, when it turns transparent. Hope it helps somehow =S.
Thanks for reply and I hope someone will figure out the problem!

I do have winrar. But Xbins.exe is auto extractable. Im talking about the small one with a small ''[7]z'' Icon, for 7-zip. Here's another pic of the file, and my whole folder :

there is another way to access xbinx by the way. this method is a little bit longer and you are required to download a program called Mirc

Yeah I know, As you can see in the pic I took of my whole folder, I do have the Xtreme52. Its just that id like the auto downloader to work since its a lot easyer and faster, and also because im wondering why my .bat files wont run =/.

Ducktape,

It looks to me that you're running Vista.

It may be worth looking at User Account Control to see if the user you are logged on as has the permissions to run batch files.

Im not running Vista =S. Im on Windows XP Pro...
And where can I see if I have permission or not? Im not sure if im looking at the right place but all I see is that I am the administrator of the computer, so I should have all access...
