I ordered an x3 + xapt3r v1.6 on sunday and am waiting for it to arrive. While i am waiting for i have decided to prepare by getting all of the ssoftware i need, e.g bios, dashboard ect. I got the x3 bios, version 3294 off xbins and was reading the file called x3_script it said about formatting hard drive and ect, i was wondering weather i have too change the file to stop the bios from formatting my hd. I'm probably just being a dumb noob but it's better to be safe than sorry.TIA.

No it won't format your harddrive.
The x3 has a built in feature where you can plug a flashram stick into a usb port and the chip will auto run any scripts you program it with such as format drive and install dash etc.
When you flash the chip it will just take you to x3 configlive which is the x3's bios screen.
You can format your existing drive or a new drive from here but it won't do it unless you tell it to.
Make sure you use the bios that ends with v1.6 plus on your 1.6 machine.
