Hi

I have just started on Jtagging and want to be sure. The tutorials just race past this point and straight into loading a freeboot and a dash.

I have a console which is Jtaggable. It has started Xell and I have all the fusesets recorded.

Before I just rush into loading a homebrew dash or whatever is recommended, will the console original firmware be affected (upgraded) in anyway when loading Homebrews?

Is there anything I should do to prevent a console dash update happening and ultimately recking the Jtag?

Thanks in advance ...

there are settings in dashlaunch you can use to stop updates,

you can also go into nxe dash and set it to never connect to live, that would stop any future updates, not sure about system updates they put on disk, i no if your playing off hdd you can delete them before you ftp over

You might also want to remove the R6T3 resistor to disable updates from burning any fuses to provide for extra protection. There are a couple of methods of doing this so use the search button to find the relevant post or if you really can't find it then give me a yell and I'll spoon feed you the yum yum chums.
