So console all wired up, you've checked continuity between the R-JTAG and DemoN, the DemoN is disabled (aka light is off) and the console won't boot retail NAND?

correct, I have checked continuity, and all joints are perfectly fine.
and when the DemoN is disabled and therefore the R-JTAG is disabled, the console will RROD

Just had a thought, could the SMC be anything to do with it?

I remember Marting or Xecuter said that if you switch between the aud_clamp and no aud_clamp then to leave the power out for at least 20 seconds to clear the SMC.
My R-JTAG image uses the aud_clamp.

Now when I de-solder the power from the R-JTAG chip I unplug the console which would clear the SMC.

Is there any possibility in this being the case?

If so could I take the SMC from the R-JTAG image and put it in my stock?

The only thing that should be on your 360 NAND is the stock image.

Starting to mess about with SMCs will cause you a lot of pain. If you can't boot the stock image with the DemoN disabled, there's a good chance you have interference on CPU_RST, so try relocating the wire.

Ok, so I got home and removed CPU_RST and exactly the same happened again.

So upon fiddling around I found something out.
I put the stock on the DemoN and R-JTAG on the mobo NAND, (I haven't put CPU_RST back yet) and stock booted perfectly fine from the DemoN, but if I switch to the R-JTAG then back to stock, even without booting, the stock would RROD.

If the R-JTAG nand is loaded at all, even once, the retail will not boot

If I put retail on both DemoN and mobo, they will both boot perfectly fine.
If I put retail on demon then R-JTAG on mobo, retail will work perfectly until I switch to R-JTAG at which point stock will no longer boot until I have removed power from the console.
If I put R-JTAG on DemoN and stock on mobo, R-JTAG will be selected first as it is on the DemoN, but when i switch to the mobo the retail will not boot. Even if I don't switch on the console before switching NANDs.

Is the rjtag kit out atm?
And I take it if stock nand is on both demon and stock nand it will boot whatevers selected but rrod after you press demon nand switch?

Have you tried taking off the daughter board and trying to use jrunner to switch nands and try?

Also might help to recheck I think the green wire that comes off the demon

The R-JTAG has been removed at least until i can get it to boot stock after the R-JTAG image has been selected.

If stock is on DemoN and mobo NANDs then the console will boot whatever, but if a R-JTAG image is on one of the NANDs and the NAND is selected, it wont boot stock, even if I don't power the console on with the R-JTAG selected.

Watch the youtube videos to get a better understanding

I will try switching from J-Runner.

The green wire is perfectly fine, I have re-soldered it and checked continuity against the DemoN pad and the resistor beside it

It may be that when you flash the rjtag image to demon with the rjtag kit uninstalled it may rrod and mess up.
The rjtag doesnt work same way as cr3pro and cr where u need cr_en etc.

Try reinstalling rjtag kit flashing just the rjtag image to the demon leave stock on the mobo.

Should make sense lol im outside Yates having a fag atm ;-)

Hope you get it sorted soon mate

Best thing to do here is to start from the top.

Desolder the R-JTAG. Put the retail NAND on both the 360 AND the DemoN. For God's sake, disable background downloads before you go insane waiting for it to shut down.

Make sure you can switch back and forth booting the stock NAND.

If that all works, resolder the R-JTAG and put the R-JTAG NAND back to the DemoN.

Try it again. If it fails to boot, note ANYTHING unusual about the console when trying to boot. Are you getting a debug light? Are the fans behaving strangely, etc etc.

These are all basic troubleshooting steps BTW.
