It may be that when you flash the rjtag image to demon with the rjtag kit uninstalled it may rrod and mess up.
The rjtag doesnt work same way as cr3pro and cr where u need cr_en etc.

Try reinstalling rjtag kit flashing just the rjtag image to the demon leave stock on the mobo.

Should make sense lol im outside Yates having a fag atm ;-)

Hope you get it sorted soon mate
Yea that made sense, ill give that a try, however do bear in mind that was the reason I started this thread

As for your previous suggestion, switching NANDs using J-Runner made no difference using the daughter board
And I was unable to get J-Runner to recognise the DemoN using the micro usb on the DemoN

Best thing to do here is to start from the top.

Desolder the R-JTAG. Put the retail NAND on both the 360 AND the DemoN. For God's sake, disable background downloads before you go insane waiting for it to shut down.

Make sure you can switch back and forth booting the stock NAND.

If that all works, resolder the R-JTAG and put the R-JTAG NAND back to the DemoN.

Try it again. If it fails to boot, note ANYTHING unusual about the console when trying to boot. Are you getting a debug light? Are the fans behaving strangely, etc etc.

These are all basic troubleshooting steps BTW.
In both of those videos the R-JTAG was desoldered and the JTAG kit underneath was disabled.
The stock NAND boots perfectly from both the DemoN and the 360

I will now put the R-JTAG back on

Ok, I have reinstalled the R-JTAG, put R-JTAG image on DemoN and stock on 360.

The DemoN NAND will boot perfectly fine, however the 360 NAND with the stock image RROD.
The R-JTAG only has the red light, the green light doesn't light up at all.
I did realise though that the fans sound like they are pulsing fast about 5 times before it RROD.

ive seen a issue with this also on my rtag whenever i switch back to stock it will rrod sometimes. but once i take the case apart it boots fine after that. the best this i founds was putting a switch on the 5v line to shut off the rjtag when using stock.

So that's the important part right there. CPU_RST is not releasing and won't until you power cycle the box. THAT's why it's not booting stock afterwards.

Therefore the issue lies with the R-JTAG setup, namely the CPU_RST wire, power option chosen and DIPs selected. You need to get it to a point where it's not triggering the resetting of the fans.

So it's something to do with the R-JTAG chip?
But it still does the same without the chip soldered

I'll change some dips and see what happens but honestly I don't expect it to change

EDIT: Also ,when I had stock on both the DemoN and the 360 and the R-JTAG was still soldered in, the DemoN wouldn't boot (as the R-JTAG was trying to glitch it), but the 360 NAND would boot (because the R-JTAG was disabled)

I only have the problem when the R-JTAG image is flashed

This is exactly what I would expect to happen.

There are plenty of us in the UK who do installs. Find someone and get them to sort it for you.

What I'm trying to get at is if CPU-RST was not releasing, then when I had stock on both NANDs then why was the 360 nand booting?

And as I said before, even without the CPU_RST wire attached it done the exact same thing.

Besides, I have done several DemoN installs before, so I don't want to have to pay for something which I have done several times before.

I'm just about ready to take it out of this box and stick it in another.

1. Why? Because the R-JTAG is trying to perform the exploit on the DemoN NAND. That's why. You should know this already.
2. Even without CPU_RST and Post OUT I2C is connected so some level of exploit is going to be performed.

There's no more help we can give you, purely because you lack basic understanding of the RGH/R-JTAG process.

To be honest I dont actually know lol........
Sbr was wrong for start, I retouched points up on demon and rjtag install and replaced rjtag/demon cren ribbon.

First of all with stock nand installed on both stock and demon it would boot em both fine with rjtag unsoldered. {5v}

With rjtag on demon it booted fine, but switching nands back to stock was a no go. Got 0010 then 0020
I replaced ribbon and wires etc, then I noticed that when you switch nands to stock, and turned it on the green dbg light would blink briefly then stock loads.

When it didnt load stock the dbg didnt blink..
Makes sence to me but I spent a while troubleshooting and like I said I just fiddled and fiddled and it ended up working again.

Always best to double check allllllll soldering, every point. Double check every point twice.

End of day its fixed and working shuttleu can tweak and setup how he likes now

What Camera are you using those are real nice shots

However the qsb soldering is pretty poor - very dry - you need to use more flux
http://www.maplin.co.uk/usb-digital-microscope-with-400x-magnification-286566
£20 with staff discount

I did use flux, I used chipquik, and as DreamZ will tell you (as he cleaned some off) it goes very hard if you don't clean it off straight away
You mean it was the ......install???

Never. Who would have guessed.
To be fair, on the original board i had everything in the correct place and it done the exact same thing. As DreamZ said, he had no idea what the actual problem was either.
